I need a bit of help please
Looking for the family of Richard Jones and his wife Eliza nee Bailey
I think it best to put down info i have
Last known address CWM Houses,,Clyfynudd,,Pontiprydd
We know Richard was killed in the Albion Mine
Children Eliza,Edith,Alfred,Louis, Arthur
I cant find their births,apparently Edith went to NewZealand as a ladies maid,  and Alfred joined the East India forces,
Thats the info we have if anyone can come up with more infomation
We would be grateful

Any dates? You may want to correct the place names for any searches..... Cilfynydd and Pontypridd.

Have you found the family in any census to give you dates and places of birth? Found their marriage (Wantage, Dec quarter 1877). Can’t see any births in Wantage. Any idea when they moved to Cilfynydd?

Found the family in 1881, living with Eliza’s parents (Jacob and Kezia Bailey) in Chaddleworth, Wantage.

Richard, born around 1855 in Ashbury, Berkshire, a gamekeeper.
Eliza, born around 1859 in Chaddleworth.
Daughter Eliza J, born 1881 in Tenby, Pembrokeshire.

Yes, listed as visitors, but with her parents. Only the one child Eliza J, born in Tenby in 1881, is with them. Can’t find her birth though, even knowing where and when!

Do you know when Richard was killed? Was it in the huge explosion of 1894?

Added... the only Richard Jones killed at the Albion in 1894 was aged 23, so too young (if correct) for your Richard.
