Looking for Howard Stanley Johns born 1894 Shardlow, Derbyshire

Good afternoon,

I am looking for Howard Stanley Johns born 1894 Shardlow, Derbyshire.  He was the son of Frank Johns and Sarah Ann Clark.

I am trying to find out where he went, who he married and if he had children.  he was a Chauffeur before WW1.

Not much to go on I know, but he is a brick wall for me so far.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by the 1939 Register?

Sorry the 1939 Register was taken on the eve of  WW2 and gives dates of births, occupations etc - but sadly we can't post the results of searches here for someone  due to copywrite.

Hi  to help out, I think his wife died March qtr 1959 Gloucester C aged 62
Howard, as plain Howard died March qtr 1967 Ledbury aged 73

By manipulating what is freely accessible  from the 1939 register, and cross referencing Free BMD, it seems possible  that the birth of a son was registered in Warwick in Sep 1931 and a daughter in Tamworth in  Jun 1928.

Logic suggests that there would have been other children earlier in the marriage.

Free Reg has the following baptism:-
9 Jan 1920 Eileen Gladwys Johns. St Mary the Less. Westley Waterless, Cambs. Parents - Howard Stanley and Gladys Eleanor. Father's occupation - motor engineer.

This birth was registered in Newmarket. The birth of a son, with Johns/Turner parentage, was registered in Newmarket in Dec 1921.
