1901 census look up please
« on: Thursday 28 November 19 15:52 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for an Isabella Watson.  b. 1899?  With parents William and Mary.  Might be with sister, Sarah, but unsure of her date of birth.  Probably Newcastle area.

In particular ages and birth places of anyone on the census.  Although Williams profession would also be of interest.

Kind regards

KA

Do you have anything else that might help pinpoint the right census?

Ages of parents or anything?

Regrettably no.

However just deciphered a note to say family could be based in Byker, if that helps.

Kind regards

Just read through everything again.  Had been given birthdate of 1899 for Isabella.  However, just checked records and she married in 1912.  So, not born in 1899 then!  No wonder I can't find anything.  Would presume she could have been born 1889 and its been mis-remembered.

Have you considered using the free Family Search site for the 1901 census?

Can't get the right names in the mix but 1901 Byker

William Watson 40
Isabella 39
Isabella 13
and 5 other young children but no Sarah

Do you have her marriage certificate naming an occupation for her father?

This one looks like funny man dealer or could be furniture

Isabella Watson marries Robert Softley (another mystery) in Newcastle Tyne in 1912.

Is Robert Softley the son of William and Catherine from Walker?
