St Mary's Convent Berwick. 1910 to 1930
« on: Saturday 30 November 19 15:45 GMT (UK) »
I've been trying, without any luck to find out where the School Records of St Mary's Convent, Tweed Street, Berwick upon Tweed, 1910/1930 can be found. I've tried Northumberland Archives and National Archives among lots of others but no luck whatsoever. The  Convent is now a School, I've spoken the them but they have no idea where the records can be found. I don't know Berwick would anyone know if there was a nearby Catholic Church that would have associated with the Convent (Ursuline Nuns) . Most grateful for any help.

Have you tried the Archives at Berwick. I do understand that they are actually 'part' of Northumberland Archives, but they staff there may have more local information. http://www.berwickfriends.org.uk/record-office/about-the-record-office/

There is only one Roman Catholic church in Berwick on Tweed, contact details here  http://www.rcdhn.org.uk/churches07/churchcontact.php?chid=112
