cant now find uncle in 1911 census, help??!!

Hello everyone...

I know My great uncle, william monaghan 1886 wolverhampton... was in the 1911 census as an inmate at stafford prison, but for the life of Me I just cannot now re find him in the 1911 census!! I had thought Id added the census result into his details, but alas...

can anyone re find him??

1911 lookups are not allowed by Rootschat.  Have you tried using Family Search instead

oooh ty Rosie :) (that added a new fact I didnt know there too, he was a carman... hmmm what would that be? i know My other... granddad, worked at a motorcar works in the citty (Sunbeam) I wonder if a carman is one who worked at one of the car factories?

If you are using Ancestry try Monaghar.  I have reported a transcription error

oooh ty Rosie, i wasnt expecting that as what a Carman was :) ty very much...

And ty very much too Carole!! bingo, thats why i wasnt finding him.. yup transcription error.. ty :)

I havent looked at him for a while, got thinking about him tho today, hes the last of his brothers and sisters I cant trace he seems to vanish after 1911 ... (Im thinking that he may have been killed in ww1... ) but... nan, had always told my mom... "you have an aunty in america" ... and as I have traced the lives of all his sibliongs, Im thinking, perhaps he married... and got killed in ww1.. his wife, ... could have then moved to america... thats the only thing I can imagine fitting this "you have an aunty in america"

Have you checked for a death on www.cwgc.org

I can’t see any marriage in Staffs up to 1920 but he may have married elsewhere
