Leslie Frank Head, Vancouver, BC
« on: Sunday 08 December 19 22:19 GMT (UK) »
I saved the toughest for last. This has proven a real headache.

Leslie Frank Head was born in Vancouver in 1913, the son of Walter Charles and Lillian Daisy (nee Andrews) Head. Married Mildred Doreen Abbott at Vancouver 24 February 1937. Marriage dissolved at New Westminster 1 March 1946.

He married Lillian Elsie (maiden name unknown) in Vancouver in 1946. This marriage ended in 1958.

Leslie makes a final confirmed appearance in the media in 1960 when his son, Walter Frank Head, married Nancy Armstrong Edwards at Vancouver. Leslie's first wife, Mildred, now married to John Percival May was also in attendance.

Not sure if this is him as well but on 1 June 1965 a Leslie Head was a pallbearer at the funeral of a Cuthbert Caunt of Sardis, BC.

Grateful for any help in what happened to Leslie after 1960. Any sign of an obituary? I doubt he is alive but never rule anything out.

Thanks Sandra.

What a little mystery this is. I have to presume he has passed and sometime between 1999 - 2019, sans obituary OR passed away somewhere other than Vancouver.

I even checked the Ryerson Index for Australia given his father was from there. Nothing at all.

Sadly the 1977 on his fathers obit was the latest sighting I came across  - should have been retired or nearly retired by then.

A "Charles Head passed away in Vancouver, British Columbia. The obituary was featured in The Vancouver Sun on June 9, 2005."

That is all it said about him, so I don't know if it is Leslie Frank Head's brother or not. If it is, it might say if Leslie was alive or not.

I don't have access to the Vancouver Sun.

I checked this one out the other day but sadly it is not the brother of Leslie Frank Head - wrong parents  :-\
