« on: Saturday 14 December 19 18:43 GMT (UK) »
Looking for the ancestors of Elizabeth Tooth born 1716 in Worth Sussex. I hope I have the right Elizabeth, she married 1743 in Slaugham Thomas Smith of Balcombe(no information needed) . I have her parents as Nicholas Tooth and Ann Monk, who married in Worth in 1709. But I am not 100% sure  that this Elizabeth is the right one , Can someone help ?

What about Elizabeth Tooth daughter of Nicholas and Susan baptized East Grinstead 7 May 1724?

ADDED
How do you know she was born Worth Sussex 1716?
What age was given when she was buried?

There is an Elizabeth Tooth marrying a John Lucas in 1745 in East Grinstead, this is more likely the one found by amondg.

West Sussex Archives
Parish: Worth
Settlement certificate: Nicholas Tooth
10 Apr 1710
Nicholas Tooth, cordwainer; married: Anne Tooth; East Grinstead
Tooth children

So it's a settlement certificate held by Worth, issued by East Grinstead

See it on FamilySearch
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-DWP3-TTH?i=324&cat=601013

What I find odd..
West Sussex Poor Law Database indexes the archive reference as Par/516/32/1/12
https://www.sussexrecordsociety.org/dbs/pl/getrecord/15803/

West Sussex Record Office catalogue has it as Par 516/32/1/13
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01oup/

On the document has been written Par 516/32/1/15 (and it is certainly in between 14 and 16!)
(Is stamped E.S.R.O., pres. for East Sussex Record Office)

At some time an index was made by Worth of "All the Certificates that are in the Parish Chest in the Church"
Tooth is number 96 on the list, but they read his name as Michael!
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-DWP3-Y1G?i=189&cat=601013

So, hopefully useful info, Nicholas Tooth married to Ann, and living in Worth was a cordwainer, and his place of settlement was East Grinstead.

Hi,

I don’t know if Elizabeth Tooth born in Worth is the right one she’s just a good possibility. I’m so happy about the information and records you’ve found, very interesting! I think Anne’s surname is Monk but don’t know where I got this from. I would be very interested to find out more about Nicholas Tooth and his wife Anne but there are several Nicholas Tooth about the same time.

There are several baptisms for Nicholas Tooth in East Grinstead, no other baptisms in Sussex around the time. But which one is my Nicholas Tooth ?

It’s not easy to find out which one is my Nicholas Tooth and I don’t want to trace the wrong one.  ???

There’s also a baptism for an Ann Munck(Monk?) East Grinstead 1683 parents John and Susanna
