Was wondering if these streets still exist or if anyone has any street photos or information on any of the families from this area

Thanks

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Hawkhill and Lowdens Alley were all demolished in the 1960's sadly. Are you on Facebook as there are two good sites with lots of old photos of those areas of Dundee. They are Dundee Westenders and Dundee Memories. They are closed groups and all they ask is that you have a connection to Dundee. Worth joining if you can.

Can I ask what names you are researching from that area as my dad's family lived there from the late 1800's until the 1960's.

Dickson, County Down & Dundee
Madden, County Westmeath
Patrick, Fife
Easson, Fife

Hi Ryan,

For a birth in Lowdens Alley the one you need to look at is St Peter District.
