Daughter's name please from 1881 census
« on: Saturday 21 December 19 16:22 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone decide what the daughter's name is please?
This does relate to another on-going thread, but no-one on there has volunteered anything, so posting on here.
Ancestry and IGI SPOILER ALERT has the name as Imon Pooly Parkinson, and the poster on the other thread thinks Inoon.  This might be a different family as daughters found are Kate and Elizabeth elsewhere, but interested in anyone's ideas nevertheless.
Thanks,
Pat

Strangely no Parkinsons born in Dorset [where daughter is stated to have been born] 1870  - 1872 & ancestry gives no links to any other Kate Parkinsons......

Not a bad shout emeltom, though can't see any likely births as Irma, Irmah or Erma 1870 - 1872.

The situation is complicated as she may have been registered under a different surname, and the family, if the correct one, moved around, so the Mother could have forgotten which county the daughter was born in.

However, no-one with those names down in free bmd of correct-ish years regardless of surname.  (though there are some Irma's)

Thanks for trying, did not want to miss anything obvious.

Any thoughts on the 'Pooly'?

Hmmm, whoever filled in form to hand to enumerator thought it important to include.

Looking again I would go with Irmah too. Is the Pooly bit a surname as middlename - maybe the name she was registered under?

Just been looking at Pooly/Pooley as surname - not very promising.
