Many thanks

Thank you Rosie, one entry has come up (not quite the right one, but it could be the father of) but I see you have to pay to look at records there, do you know if the same records are available on Ancestry?

I'm looking for a George Cowie who was married to Isabel Steven, and served with the 51st (Highland) Division. I am doing some research for a friend so I don't know much more than that at the moment but have asked for a dob as I know that would help!

thank you Rosie, I think it's the 1901/1911 records that I need, so I'll probably just go ahead and pay!

Apart from his wife who was called Isabel I think, no, not yet - that's what I'm hoping to deduce from the census record.
