Hi John,
Croeso/Welcome to Rootschat,

A lot of Carmarthenshire records are on familysearch.
You can also put any queries you have on the Carmarthenshire  board here. There are loads of people that will help you.

birth reg for Howell John jun qtr 1861 Carmarthen has mmn Lloyd.

Where did you get the death date for William? The only death reg in Carmarthen registration district for a William Morgan in march qtr 1851 gives an age of 47 - vol 26 pg 458. The more likely death reg would be march qtr 1848 vol 26 pg 527 aged 32.
Also likely birth reg for William John is dec qtr 1851 Carmarthen vol 26 pg 588 mmn Lloyd and possible marriage dec qtr 1850 Carmarthen vol 26 pg 847 William John & Anne Morgan the only names on the page, so could be register office or chapel.
This newspaper article might be linked - look for awful occurrence

Parish baptisms for Llanddowror are on Findmypast, but no sign of your Morgan or John family, so could be baptising elsewhere or non-conformist.
