Warmans/Reynolds of Sandwich
« on: Tuesday 07 January 20 11:23 GMT (UK) »
What are the chances of a father Charles Warman b 1751 Sandwich marrying an Elizabeth Reynolds and his son Charles b 1794 marrying an Elizabeth Reynolds?

I am in a muddle about this! Charles sen married Elizabeth b 1752 at Ash 1778. Charles jun married Elizabeth 1824 at St James' Dover.

The younger Elizabeth most likely born 1800 Woolwich.

Does anyone have an interest in the Warman family of Sandwich.

Help please!

Chances of them having the same name do you mean or of being the same woman?

It depends how many Reynolds families were around at the time and Elizabeth is a very common first name.

Have you traced the Elizabeth wife of the younger Charles backwards - she may be a distant cousin

What are the chances of a father Charles Warman born Sandwich 1751 and his son Charles born 1794 marrying someone of the same name?

Charles sen married Elzabeth Reynolds b 1752 in Ash 1778. Elizabeth of Ash.

Charles Junior born Sandwich 1794 married Elizabeth Reynolds 1824 St James' Dover.

Elizabeth most likely born 1800 in Woolwich daughter of William Reynolds and Jemima Sawyer.

Is there anyone who has an interest in the Warmans of Sandwich?

In the past I thought the Warmans of Sandwich were part of my family tree but due to an error in my tree I later found out they were not. At the time I followed the tree back and a lot of the names are used over within the family. There is a family tree decendent document available online from another person but this has many errors on it. You need to check each of the Sandwich parishes as some of the families moved around and had different offspring baptised in different churches but they come from the same family group. The only way I could work out who was who was to put it all on a spreadsheet.
