if you don't find anything else, the cemetery should be able to tell you when he was buried. assuming this is him and there weren't two men with that name.

Do you know for sure that he died between 1950 and 1960 or are you estimating that from his year of birth, which I am seeing as 1882?

There is a claim date in 1947 on his Social Security record. that looks like when he retired. But there is a date of 8 October 1976 as well. That could be his year of death, age 94.
Was he born in Fayette City, PA ?

a probable son, same name and initial, was born 1911 and died July 30, 1996.

There was no mention of Garnet Ackinclose on the death notice for his wife Jean - only the two sons were mentioned.

Perhaps contacting Jefferson Memorial Park would confirm if Garnet was buried at Jefferson Memorial Park.

Garnet Ackinclose was admitted to hospital in 1945 - maybe that 1947 claim date could be the death date ?

I am tying up loose ends from my English ancestors who moved to Pennsylvania in 1880s.
