Sercombe family in portage la prairie manitoba
« on: Thursday 09 January 20 17:30 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I believe my great uncle Harold leslie bott married Esther Minnie sercombe in1934. She was the daughter of John and rose sercombe and had five younger sisters. Harold and Esther are both buried in portage la prairie but I cannot confirm it is the correct man. He came across to Canada in 1925/26 . He was born in the west midlands in 1906, parents Frederick and Elsie.
Any information welcome
Thanks.

Hello and welcome  :)

Esther Minnie Bott was apparently buried in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Portage la Prairie. Her death year is given as 1980.

Harold Leslie was apparently buried in the same place with death year given as 1977.

Added: there is apparently no other info with the records but someone may be able to help with an obit.

Hi.
Thanks for your quick response! I had found thesee grave references and I have found a marriage certificate but no details on it to confirm it is the correct Harold.  I found 3 obituaries for Esther so sisters but although they mention lots of children there is nothing about Harold.  Just thought if there was a large sercombe family someone may remember something!
