For clarification - James Elmore, aged 77, death registered June quarter 1940 - Rowley Regis RD, which covers Sedgley.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.
He/she who never made a mistake, never made anything.

Although James ELMORE died at 10 Burton-road Sedgley, Staffordshire, his Probate on Ancestry reads

ELMORE James of 51 Cobden-street Fallings Heath Wednesbury, Staffordshire, died 24 May 1940 at 10 Burton-road Sedgley, Staffordshire.

Administration Birmingham 5 May to Hebert ELMORE, Warehouseman.  Effects £121. 19s. 8d.

----

James most possibly would have been buried with his late Wife.

10 Burton Road Sedgley was Burton Road Hospital, he was probably buried closer to home in Wednesbury.
