Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Good to have that confirmed.

There seem to have been some recent changes to the exterior.

(The label on the map I posted a link to at #7 is a bit deceptive).

The Google Street View in Reply #3 has distorted the cottage almost grotesquely.

That is true.

I note that the porch was removed, the door replaced by a window, lattice attached to the walls, and the house sign added. I think it may have a new owner as there appears to be For Sale sign outside the house on google maps street view.

Shame they removed the front door.  That's presumably where the old lady was sitting to wash the tripe when she was accosted by the fairy.

I’m sure that she did.  :)

I am not keen on the recent alterations, particularly turning the door into a window ... which looks a bit odd ...  but on the positive side, the cottage is being cared for and is still going strong.
