John Essex 1784?
« on: Saturday 11 January 20 13:44 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone.
I am trying to trace the baptism of my ancestor, John Essex. Married Ann Halford 7 October 1805 Whetstone Leicestershire. They had 4 children all born Narborough  Leicestershire. Tried FMPast, FamilySearch. No record. If anyone can help would be grateful.
Thanks
Maggie

Do you have him on census with a place of birth

Hello Rosie.
His wife is on the 1841 census living in Narborough Leicestershire with their son John but not him. I've tried a burial between 1816 when their last child was born and 1841 but I can't find one in Leicestershire.

I cannot see a likely birth/baptism either.  Does the marriage give any more information, I can only see a brief transcript

Nothing else, Rosie. I think it could be a trip or a phone call to the Leicester Archives.
