Thomas GOODRICH burial
« on: Monday 13 January 20 16:03 GMT (UK) »
Thomas GOODRICH was a wheelwright in Uppingham in 1804 with an apprentice Thomas Panden. I believe (not proved) that he married Elizabeth Wix in Wendling or Weasenham Norfolk in 1796. Two sons Thomas born in Uppingham 1797 & William born Uppingham 1800.
Thomas (senior) died in Uppingham 2nd November 1837 and his wife Elizabeth died October 1843 also in Uppingham. I am now searching for their burials and would greatly appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Have you their death certificates - that should say where they were residing when they died in order to look for the nearest burial place  :)

Yes, both just say Uppingham. No street name but in 1841 Elizabeth was in North Street. They were non-conformists and I have searched the local parish register when I visited the town a few years ago.

There is a Local History Group in Uppingham - perhaps you could contact them for possible insight into a NC burial area.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
