Place of Burial Christina McKinley
« on: Friday 17 January 20 11:46 GMT (UK) »
Hello
Christina McKinley died on 22/9/1946 at Lough Money near Downpatrick Co Down. Not sure how to find out were she was buried. The only address I have for the family is from the 1911 Census when they lived at 4,Carrowvanny Raholp near Downpatrick. Her husband William died 26/7/1944--again I dont know were he is buried. Not sure if Church of Ireland or Presbyterian . The Burial records  site  on line for N Ireland only relate to the 3 main graveyards in Belfast --so no clues there.
Keen to try and find out were they are buried as would like to visit the area.

Many Thanks.

This is fantastic -thank you so much. I assume the Church at Saul is the only one showing on the Internet as St Patrick's --or is there another one ?.
Thank you again.

You're very welcome  ;D

Is this them on the 1911 Irish census? Church of Ireland.
Living at Carrowvanny

There is Saul Abbey which, from Google satellite, has some gravestones on the main drive.

St Patricks is a R.C. church.

If you want a snip of the death notice, PM me your e-mail address and I will forward.

Yes thats them in 1911. William had been a master Miller. It will be the Abbey--will write and see if they will tell me the location of the grave. No idea if it has a head stone. Have sent you a PM--second time Lucky. love your photo of the old car. Really appreciate your help .

It seems they were living outside Antrim in the 1901 Irish census… Ballywee, Kilbride

They move to Carrowvanny (Saul civil parish) between 1901 and 1904.

Did you get any reply? This is the entrance to Saul Abbey......the other gate appears locked. It is off the Saul Road.
