Hello all, This is a photo of my grandfather (standing) and his brother when they were boys in New York.  If anyone can help restore this photo, I would be very grateful. It's the only photo we have of them as children. Thank you very much.

My pleasure Alison...I'm sure you will get more. For future reference, it's always best to scan photos in colour mode even if it is black & white as the scanner picks up the full tonal range which gives more detail.

Thanks for that tip and explanation, Carol.  I was scanning a negative and did black and white as the one color version I did was too big to post here.  I should have tried again. I'll remember next time.
