Yarnton Marriage record
« on: Tuesday 11 February 20 10:00 GMT (UK) »
Several Trees on An..ry give the following marriage:
15/06/1718  Yarnton Thomas DUNSBY and Sarah SKILLMAN
But I did not find that last time I looked through the register... admittedly many years back! That marriage is not on FindMyPast in the Oxford collection nor can I find it on Family Search.
As Thomas and Sarah are my direct line I would like to confirm that it is correct.
For years I had Thomas married to Sarah Saunders and they are as far back as I was able to go.

Looking again at the An..try trees I notice the date they give is the same as the one I have for the marriage of Thomas and Sarah Saunders in St Mary Magdeline Oxford which is the one I had taken as mine so I think the Skillman is a red herring.

Looking at the images on Ancestry for St Mary Magdalene, Oxford on 15 June 1718, I believe the names are:

Tho: Damsley of Farthings, Northtonshire and Sarah Saunders of P?ardington, Oxon. - transcription for Sarah's surname is Launders  :-\

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
