'Pickup' suname help

Hi all
Im looking for info on a John W Pickup and Sarah Pickup (Emerson) in the 1939 register. They married in 1925 in Gainsborough Lincolnshire, and they had a daughter called Vera Pickup also in 1925 in Gainsborough but I cant find any of them in 1939. Chances are that Vera's record is still closed as she only died in 2013 but her parents are a mystery, can I have another pair of eyes to find the parents please.

DOROTHY 22 Jul 1920 (birth 29 Apr 1920)
VERA 12 Sep 1925 (birth 16 Aug 1925)

Dorothy has mmn as EMMERSON on FreeBMD
Also a Alfred 1921 same mmn

Looks to me that JWP married 3 times;

1881 to Betsey MARRIS (she died 1904)
1904 to Sarah Hannah GOULDING nee Brocklesby  (she died 1915)

When was Sarah Emerson born, and her Father's name?

The only birth that I can see for a Sarah H Emerson was in 1861.
Suggest you look for that age in 1939, or check that marriage certificate to see if she was born under a different name and so could have a first marriage to a Mr Emerson and so a different birth year.

Sorry, she could not have given birth at about 65, so when was she born?
Also as Vera was mmn Emerson, she cannot have been married before.

When was Sarah Pickup born.  Could the children have been living elsewhere if Sarah was widowed as suggested earlier

Dorothy E Pickup is in a tree on Ancestry with parents Marius Thomas Pickup and Florence Ada Emmerson.
But that cannot be true as baptism for her with parents John and Sarah found by trish, so ignore that.
