Death of Albert Fairbrother
« on: Tuesday 18 February 20 22:22 GMT (UK) »
Just looking for the death of Albert Fairbrother born 1851 Wadhurst.  Son of Samuel and Ann.

Albert married Charity Ann Stevens/Callaway in 1899, never had children to her.

One probate for 1925 death 18 Dec 1925 (many relations are sticking to this one, sadly I think wrong)  This Albert who died in 1925 has a widow by the name of Jane Baker Fairbrother, according to marriage records they married 1889, so not our Albert.

Albert is still around in 1911 working as a carpenter by trade now cutting trees (married) and is at his parents home during census night  RG14 73 4

I have checked freeBMD and nothing is coming up between 1911 and 1950 that fits his age.

Eagle eyes needed for this one please.

Do you know when his wife Charity died?  That might help narrow it down if she was a widow or where she was living etc

A death in Kent, possible?
June 1939 Tonbridge 2a 1167
Fairbrother,  Albert
age 85

Kent newspapers, 7 April 1939
LATE MR. A. FAIRBROTHER. —The funeral took place on Tuesday of Mr. Albert Fairbrother, who died at Pembury Hospital on Saturday. Mr. Fairbrother had lived in the Wadhurst district all his life until a few years ago, when he went to reside with Mrs. Golding at Slade Hill, Lamberhurst. The service at Wadhurst Church was conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. E. Mannering.

Yes that one is a possibility, his exact age may not have been known by said Mrs Golding.

Hard to know if that is him or not.  born 1851, so very close in age.  Certainly Wadhurst roots. It does sound promising.
Yes Charity's death 1920, sadly no probate.
I will look up and see if a probate dated 1939 is him.
