Archibald McPherson 1871 census Greenock

I can't find Archibald McPherson or his wife Christina in any 1871 census records.  They both died in Greenock, Christina in 1872 and Archibald in 1879.  they were both born in Argyle.  Archibald in 1818 and Christina (ms McPherson) in 1820.  I found their daughter Jessie boarding in the 1871 census.  Can anyone give me some thoughts on this please.

Some extra information.  Archibald died at 84 Drumfrochar Road, Greenock. His wife Christina died in Sugarhouse Lane, possibly at the home of Archibald's sister Mary Livingstone, but they are not present in the 1871, though Archibald's 94 mother is present.
