Violet cobb born 1923 Cirencester

I am researching this line and have found this birth on BMD which indicates the MMN is Booker. I have hunted high and low and simply cannot find  a marraige between Cobb and Booker in a 30 year window!

Can anyone help please! I am going round in circles.

Could it be a second marriage for her mother, in which case it will be recorded under that name? Have you found Violet on the 1939 register as that will give first names of parents?

The other option is to get the birth certificate.

No I cannot find her on the 1939 register either. She married in Cricklade in 1941 and I know that information to be correct. Is there anyway to look at the marriage details to see her father's details?

The only way is to buy the marriage certificate from the GRO.

Yes I think I will have to do that in this instance. Is it possible to buy a pdf online now? I had read that there was a cheaper option than ordering the paper document- after 15 years of family research I understood there was a cheaper way to do this now.

Not marriage I'm afraid, they are still paper. Also for the dates you are looking at the birth would also be paper - £11.

Thank you jamjar- this looks interesting- but I cant see a marriage for Mustoe/Booker or Smith/Booker to justify the MMN of Booker on the regitration of Violet Cobbs birth in 1923- am I missing something silly?
