« on: Sunday 23 February 20 01:32 GMT (UK) »
Ann Pumfrey (also transcribed as Purefoy) age 50 in Brighton Sussex 1841.
HO107
1122/16
page 25
Can someone please tell me what her job was?  Possibly Narm or Nurm or Harm, no of which make sense to me.
Thanks

It appears to be 'Nurse'.  If you go back to page 10 it is a bit clearer there for Ellen GOWER.

Many thanks.
Her husband Jesse Pumphrey (1783-1866) was a millwright away working on the mills with one son. This Ann (nee Norman (Henry Dunton was her 1st husband )) was his second wife. His first wife was Ann Humphry (1783-1826).
