Hawke Family - Kapunda SA

Help please in finding the origins of Mary Elizabeth Reece, born about 1844.   4 Jun 1868 she married John Hawke in Kapunda.   John was born 7 Jun 1840 in Kea, Cornwall and died 12 Dec 1906 in Kapunda.   He was the son of Richard and Jenefer Hawke, née Renfrey, and arrived in Australia on the Reliance in 1851.   I have been unable to find any definite information on Mary's parents and family background.   Any help appreciated.

So its a start knowing her father was John Reece. I suspect that as John Hawke was born Cornwall, he was a miner and possibly the same for John Reece.

If you check out Familysearch.org they have early passenger lists in to South Australia.. I did see a John Rees (sic) and family from Wales (which throws my Cornwall theory out the window!)

From the marriage certificate, 1868.....can you please list all the information....everything please.

What children do you have for Mary Elizabeth REECE and John HAWKE.

When and where did Mary Elizabeth HAWKE die.

I think that REES names in Kapunda are worth considering.

He had a son William Evan Rees, if that helps any. He also had a son who worked at Hawke's foundry.
