Scotland's People Website Acting Up
« on: Sunday 01 March 20 16:43 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone else having problems with Scotland's people today; every time I try to do a search it is either logging me out, asking me to resubmit the form, or displaying an error message, Very frustrating!
Sinclair: Lanarkshire & Antrim; McDougall: Bute; Ramsay: Invernesshire; Thomson & Robertson: Perthshire; Brown: Argyll; Scott: Ayrshire: Duff: Fife.

I have just tried logging in and doing a search and I have got some results.  It has also allowed me to look at my saved records.

Seems fine at the moment.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

So fed up with the problems I went for a walk. Seems to be working fine now.

I take it that everyone else also tells SP any time there is a problem with the web site? If they don't know about problems they won't be able to fix them.

Hi All

I also had the same problem a while back and still get occasionally I think it depends on how many searches you have done and how many tabs you have open if that makes sense.
My fix is to log out clear you browser and log back in problem solved works every time for me.

Yours Aye

I contacted SP to highlight the problem. They replied promptly. But still none the wiser as technology and I have a love hate relationship  ??? ::). I have uploaded the reply ( hopefully) as it may help others who are having the same problem.

Good Luck
