The late Edwin Gill of Garston,Liverpool.

This photo of my wife's uncle needs more than my limited experience to bring it back to life,so may I ask for some expert help?,as it's a treasured family image.(I hope the resolution will be suitable for restoration,as it's all I have)

Thank you Peter, that's terrific,if I thought I could achieve results like that,I'd get hold of photoshop and make the effort to get to grips with it,but...........

Thanks for your kind words, Red Tom. :)
If you have the time, give it a go! It becomes addictive after only a little while. A highly developed free app is GIMP, so it can cost nothing. But I prefer Photoshop Elements which I found easier to learn. (PE is Photoshop with a few tools left out, which you buy outright rather than leasing the full-blown professional version.)
Cheers,
Peter

Thank you eglejok for your hard work doing this,I'm grateful for the fact that I don't have to make a decision about which image to select, and can merely pass them on to Ted's family and leave it to them,as I'd be hard put to choose any one result.
