Hello Val.
I know not part of your stated request. But if interested, the Hudspith surname is associated with the very early days of pioneering in the upper Kaiprara Harbour area of Northland. And on to more recent times. A devout Wesleyan he started lay preaching before there was a Minister assigned to the area, and was a key promoter behind the building of the first local church.
While I did not find a Campbell - Hudspith engagement on Paperspast when I went looking just now I did find some 800 Auckland & Northland papers hits for the surname. The excellent Matakohe Kauri Museum, which I visited some weeks ago and due to return to soon, gives a great insight to what pioneering in this difficult area was like.
Alan.
