Thomas Crosthwaite born 1811Applethwaite died 1883

Looking for the father of the above Thomas Crosthwaite he married Eleanor Wilson 1833 was a farmer and they had 6 children that i have found the eldest being Thomas Elleray crosthwaite. Any information would be very welcome thank you

Could he have been baptised at Bassenthwaite

Have seen that but can’t find any connections and felt since his eldest son was Thomas Elleray his father should have been Thomas.Does that make sense?

Can't help with a baptism, but there is this marriage notice, in case you haven't seen it:

"Since our last ... Mr. Thomas Crosthwaite, of Windermere, to Miss Eleanor Wilson, of Skelsmergh."
Westmorland Gazette, Saturday,  Feb. 9, 1833

Have you worked out the family connections of people they are with in the various censuses, in case that helps with siblings of Thomas  born c 1811:

James SUART (c1771, Windermere, labourer) and Mary SUART (c1780 Windermere) in the 1851 with Thomas jnr as their "nephew".

John CROSSTHWAITE (c1845, Applethwaite) in the 1861 as "nephew".

Is John CROSTHWAITE born Mar qtr 1846 Kendal (25/493) son of John CROSTHWAITE (called "jnr" in the1851; born c1807 Bowness, grocer and baker) and Jane CUMMINGS?

If this is the correct family, it implies John (c1807) is Thomas (c1811)'s brother, and that their father is John.

Modified to add:
A problem is that there is another John CROSTHWAITE birth reg at Kendal Jun qtr 1844 with no mmn. I can only see the one John in the various censuses, but no death for that name that would fit.

Oh, no I was wrong. Just found John son of John and Jane in 1861, so not with Thomas and Eleanor.  I've modified the above post to strike through.

I guess this means his birth is the other one at Kendal  in 1844 with no mmn.

Can I access the gazette archives to see the marriage info. I have got a record of the marriage so I did know Thomas and Ellinors marriage date though it would be great to see this in the gazette. I have looked at all the census available regarding Thomas and his children and who they married and have found him in all the census until his death in 1883 and an uncle of Ellinor living with them but can’t find his siblings

I access British Library Newspapers online (free) through my Australian National Library card. Not sure where you are, but I'm sure many libraries have similar arrangements. Alternatively there are a number of pay sites where you can also access newspapers. 

Actually, looking again this morning there is also a notice in the Lancaster Gazette, Saturday,  Feb. 9, 1833 . I've copied a snip of them both. (Lancaster Gazette says Eleanor was "of Kendal")
