Hi All,

I've found him on the 1901 Census in Windsor at St George's College School under then name Austin Dwen.  I knew it would be a transcription error - it just more luck than judgement tracking some of these down.

Many thanks for everyone's help

Austin was buried in Ontario but the drowning at Kirk's Ferry occurred in Quebec. Civil registration only began in Quebec in 1994 so there would only be a parish record for a burial if he had been buried there, no death certificate. And there would be no death certificate in Ontario either b/c he didn't die there.
