Advice on care of 1950's photos
« on: Tuesday 24 March 20 13:34 GMT (UK) »
I have a collection of about 30 small square photos taken in New Zealand in the early 50s. They are curled up a bit and have probably been like it for many years. Will they flatten out if I put them in something with a weight on top, or is that likely to damage them?

I borrowed some Navy photos taken during WW2 from my Brother to scan. They were carelessly stored in a small white envelope and were bending. I bought a small album with sleeves and put them in it back to back, placed heavy books on top of the album and kept them in the lounge. Less than a week later they had all flattened out.
