Clap For Carers, tonight 26th March 2020, 8pm
« on: Thursday 26 March 20 16:30 GMT (UK) »
I'm not sure of this has already been posted (I couldn't find anything).

I will certainly be clapping from my window tonight....

"A national salute is set to take place to honour the hardworking NHS staff who are trying to battle coronavirus.  In a gesture of thanks to the frontline healthcare heroes, everyone across the nation has been invited to join a mass round of applause from their doorsteps, windows and balconies on Thursday at 8pm."

I had my fresh air and exercise this morning walking the dog.  I hope I don't get arrested mid-clap for having 2 lots in one day  ;D

It is approaching 7 a.m. Friday 27 March in New South Wales Australia.  Our household is about to  butter some toast and spread Vegemite all over.  We will pause in couple of minutes to share  the salute.

Bloomin' heck - it's cold out there. Quite a success in our area but there were some who didn't take part. Some fireworks going off, but not many.

Same here, I didn’t think there would be many out as our houses are quite spread out but most came out and fireworks too

Absolutely amazing, wasn't sure how many would go out but the response was fantastic.  Even those driving sounded there horns and sirens went off some where.

Thank you NHS for all you are doing and stay safe.
