Tobias family
« on: Tuesday 31 March 20 15:42 BST (UK) »
I wonder anyone can help me please?
I am searching for early history of the Tobias Family in Llanfihangel Aberbythych / Llandybie.
Tobias Tobias lived at Danyrallt c1813. He had three illegitimate sons. 2 we Baptist’s in Llandbie and the third in Llanfihangel Aberbythych.
Tobias was a Baptist...... he migrated to Indian USA around 1830’s. I believe two of his sons went with him..... possibly a brother as there is an Enos Tobias in the story too.
Is there any early history anywhere ? Books?
Much appreciate your help

You may have already seen this?

A history of Enos Tobias....
 http://www.rootschat.com/links/01p97/

Said to be the son of David & Elizabeth.
With his wife &  7 of their 9 children, left Lambea Wales in May 1820......

And you've seen the Finda Grave listing for him  :) :

Thank you, yes.
However there is no evidence that Tobias and Enos were brothers.
I really need to find the evidence about Tobias and his two illegitimate sons, that they left Carmarthenshire for Indiana.
Thanks again for your help

Is it the David residing in Jennings, Indiana in 1850
and the John residing in Graham, Indiana in 1850?

David is in Jennings
John is work in progress. I don't think John in Graham is the right one.
It's the Carmarthenshire connections I am looking for though.
Thanks
