Medical Records
« on: Monday 22 August 05 11:01 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to get medical records for a deseased member of my family, if at all. The medical records would be extremely exciting to discover any mysterious skeletons locked in the cupboard.

Cheers

I don't know if it's any help, but I had great help with my g/grandmothers records from 3 different Scottish hospitals I wrote to, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh. A very sick lady!!!

Glasgow sent me a copy of her 2 page notes, Edinburgh and Aberdeen sent me a precis as there were too many pages.

It might be worth your while to write to the hospital you are interested in. Or they might have sent historical records to the local archives
