Greetings The ship Diadem...trying to find passenger list for Carl Behr as below...
Im trying to find his Origin. The information below [from Ancestry] will tell me no more. my guess is southern Germany....sadly the net keeps taking me to Below,below the London Australia service

 - According to the passenger list, the Carl Behr who was on the Diadem was a citizen of France.

Unsurprisingly, http://www.geopatronyme.com/ shows that this surname in France is concentrated in areas that border Germany.

In the same year, a Carl Friedrich Behr from Wurttemberg arrived in NY aboard the Garonne
