Hi
Please could anybody help me with the parents of Thomas Jeff born about 1868 at Beckwithshaw North Yorkshire and living with is Grandparents in the 1871 census

The GRO shows him born in 1868 and his birth was registered in Knaresbourgh, it does not give a mother's maiden name which suggests he was illegitimate. He is also with his grandparents in 1881. I would suggest his mother is either Jane or Eliza Jeff.

His birth certificate will confirm the name of his mother for you.

He married on 5 Oct 1895 at Kildwick near Skipton to Elizabeth Ann  and gave his father's name as Robert Jeff occupation gardener deceased, which I think was his grandfather.

The GRO has reduced non-essential work at the moment so it may be some time before you get a birth certificate or a PDF of the birth registration.
