Looking for Lizzie (Lizzey) Dixon Corby Northants

Hi,

I'm looking for a relative called Lizzie Dixon b.1859, mother and father were Charlotte Hammond and Austin Dixon. She appears on the 1871 census in Corby but then not on the 1881 census. I've checked the GRO for a death with similar sounding first names but cannot find anything between 1871 and 1881. Is there anywhere else I could check as I'm new to this?

Found her in the 1881 census in Leics but nothing after that.

Were her parents still alive and did she have brothers and sisters she may have been living with?

Seems to be Charlotte (b1857) as well as Lizzie (b1859) both born Kettering

None of them look like her siblings. Her parents Austin and Charlotte survived until 1900 and 1902 respectively.

I can see parents and brothers still around after Lizzie disappears.

She is 22 in 1881 so right age for being married by the next census. 

Could look for a Lizzie no surname with her birth year and birth place and see if any likely candidates pop up.  Then you can check the husband's name to see if he married a Dixon.

There is a Charlotte Goodman in 1891 with a Lizzie Dixon 27 visitor born Corby.  Might that be the 2 sisters.

FreeBMD shows a marriage in the Thrapston registration district:
DIXON Elizabeth, Mar qtr 1883 Thrapston vol 3b p261
on same page as Henry Payne BLAND, William MACKNESS, and Emma Mary MAYES.

The 1891 census (found on FamilySearch) has:
RG12/1197/107 p33 Vernon Street, Northampton
BLAND Henry P, head, 31, shoe room man, born Thrapston
BLAND Elizabeth, wife, 30, born Northampton
BLAND Richard P, son, 6, born Northampton
BLAND Elizabeth A Cornwall, daughter, 4, born Northampton
BLAND Maud Cornwall, daughter, 0, born Northampton.

Ages and birthplaces shown on censuses are not always 100% accurate, and enumerators sometimes made errors, so I wouldn't automatically discount this family.

It might be worth tracking the family on later censuses to see if Elizabeth BLAND's details are consistent with your Lizzie.
