Jane and Sarah Paterson did they go to relatives in Canada ?
« on: Sunday 12 April 20 15:58 BST (UK) »
Jane was born in 21 January 1877 Glenluce and Sarah  10 June 1887 Portpatrick Wigtownshire daughters of Samuel Paterson and Sarah Campbell .

I can't find them in Scotland after 1901 . Their brother Andrew and a few other members of their extended family went to Canada I wonder if they might have gone to.

The surname was ringing a bell but I couldn't remember for certain if it was the same family.

Yes it is very possible that they went to Canada.

There are quite a few immigration records that bear the same names.

There were massive land grants available and my own Grandfather at the age of 18 went there alone followed a year later by his older Brother.

If you look up where their other relations were then they may be nearby

Will try to go back and find obituaries for those Paterson/Patterson we have already found in the USA to see if there is a mention of the two sisters. So forgive me if I repeat something.
