May I suggest that if spec is interested, there are quite a few mentions of the family, particularly in the Mackay Daily Mercury which give a nice indication of life in the area. Searching trove with keywords "Rolfe Koumala" is a good way to start.

Just found a list of scholarship results for Mackay and District which includes Edwin C ROLFE and my own mother (who also grew up in Mackay)  ;D Actually, I had never seen this particular entry before, so that's made my day.

These Rolfe relations all born in Great Shefford UK
Charlie Elijahs brother Richard James went to Australia joined the forces was killed 1918 on the Somme
a sister Polly Selina also came to Australia i believe she wed a Smith and later divorced .i am still going through all the info sent to me ..spec
