1921 Census - Canada
« on: Monday 20 April 20 11:54 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have access to this please and is willing to do a look up.

I'm looking for GEORGE CAMPBELL b 1895 SCOTLAND and his wife SARAH.

I've looked at the index and there is a George and Sarah mentioned living in Russell, Ontario and I'm hoping they are "mine".

I don't have a subscription so I can't see any further details.

This looks like the marriage of the couple on the 1921 census which Christine highlighted

George Campell - 1895 - aged 21 years -  married 14 March 1916 Carleton Ontario
Father Colin Campell - Mother Jane Campell - Spouse Sadie J McCooey.

Unfortunately this isn't the correct family! All I know about George is that his middle initial is R and he was born around 1895 in Scotland.

The Sarah he "married" is my grandfather's sister who went to Canada as a British Home Child ( I have all the details of that). She was born in 1897 in Castleford, Yorkshire and registered as McCall but her parents weren't married so she always went by BEATSON.

George & Sarah had a daughter Marie in 1918 in Toronto and a daughter Barbara in 1922 - Canada (no place given).
They crossed the border and went to live in Michigan and I have details from American censuses. It's their early life together in Canada that I can't find.
