This man was my second great uncle and he stayed in Nova Scotia when the rest of his family went to NZ aboad Breadalbane in 1857. And he is the only one I know nothing about.I think he married Alexandrina 'Lexie' McDonald in 1853 in maybe Boularderie, Victoria, NS  no sure about the Boularderie bit. She was born 02 March 1837 not known where but perhaps Boularderie, and died 12 April 1919. They apparently had 10 children.I have a list of what I think are the childrens names.  Donald died 3 May 1917 perhaps South Dalhousie,
I've been 'finding' or not, this family for many years and if I can sort this out it wil be the answer to many questions.
Thanking you in anticipation

The anc tree with lots of information looks to belong to you. Seems to have a comprehensive list of children and some you have found.
For those searching with a subscription to anc, this is the link to show what has/has not been found.

It may be you will only find the marriage bond/license for Donald in church records. There seems to be a gap in the marriage records from 1849 to 1858 on the Nova Scotia Vital States site

There is a death of a Alexanderina McKenzie - 1838 - 1914 - aged 78 years - Huron County Ontario listed on http://geneofun.on.ca/cems/ON/... but that appears to be the wife of Robert McIntosh

If this is the daughter Catherine McKenzie married by 1921 and living Pictou Nova Scotia to JKames P Fraser  - then Donald McKenzie is living with her - widowed.

James P Fraser   39
Catherine Fraser 39
Irene M Fraser   10
Isabella M Fraser 3
Donald McKenzie 82 born NS. Widowed.

Which would mean he was'nt the Donald McKenzie who is buried Saint James Presbyterian Cemetery Big Bras d'Or, Victoria County, Nova Scotia. 3 May 1917
