Carl Virgin

Seeking information on Carl Virgin, who left South Wales, UK, sometime after September 1881 to undertake a "responsible position" newspaper words, not mine, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.    Possible residing in the Vale of Lehigh?  He is the son of Frederick Virgin, Christiana, Sweden so I presume his birthplace is Sweden.  I have checked the 1890 and 1900 US census on line with no results?  Appreciated help.

Unfortunately there was no 1890 US census, almost all destroyed by fire.
