James Partridge Marriage and census lookup

I found a newspaper article in the Chelmsford Chronicle 4 August, 1854, I’m looking for a bit more information on the groom & marriage location.
Marriage date is 19 March, 1854 Christ Church, Sydney
James Partridge, groom is from Springfield, I’m needing his age & occupation from the 1841/51 census.
Bride is Sarah Parker b. Billericay 1827 She is in Chelmsford in 1851 with her Grandmother Elizabeth Reynolds. She’s not with her family on the 1841 census (age13) parents are Abraham & Grace Parker.

What was the newspaper report about, does it give more information

A published tree shows him as James Partridge married to Bertha Matthews, 1845 Independent Church, Thetford.
