1881 census please for Lady Mill, Thornhill.
« on: Saturday 09 May 20 15:28 BST (UK) »
I would be extremely grateful if anyone could please look at the 1881 census for me. I am trying to find who the occupants were at Lady Mill, Lady Mill Lane, Thornhill parish near Dewsbury, West Riding. I am thinking there should be three cottages there. If someone could supply me with the info I can move forward with my research into that place. Many thanks  :)

From Ancestry. There were four households. They were Thomas Murrey, George Johnson,  James Walton and Roland Bastow RG11; Piece: 4569; Folio: 11; Page: 16

Prohibit publication of info? So if I find the occupants' details I cannot use it in the piece I am writing for publication? Would seem a pity since I have an almost complete list of occupants going back to 1610.
Stan that's interesting info, all four names appear in neither the 1871 or 1891 census .. there must have been some shuffling about of inhabitants there.

If you are just researching the occupants of various properties without any connection to your own FH and intend to publish info from the FindMyPast website you need to check re copyright issues with FindMyPast  to cover yourself

Their T&C's are displayed but if I was you, before going into print  I would want the ok in writing from them to cover myself.

That is not correct for the 1881 Census as addresses were transcribed by  the Genealogical Society of Utah in alliance with the Federation of Family History Societies when they did the 1881 census.

In Ancestry put Lady Mill in Keyword and Thornhill, Yorkshire, in Lived in, to get the census entries.
