Strange - it was certainly something live on BBC this morning - maybe the Breakfast show just before showing some old clips - it may have all merged into Andrew Marr in my mind.
But even if it was last Thursday's news, headlines like that may lead a lot of people to think that they can do what they like on Monday

We will have to wait till this evening to find out, Boris is giving nothing away, all we are seeing is guess work.

My guess is that we are to be told it’s down to each individual to keep themselves safe, if you don’t go within two metres of anyone else you are most likely safe.

That is my guess.

I'm not sure about the two metre rule. If a cyclist or jogger comes past you I think five metres out of their slip stream would be better. If someone does fly past you it is possible to smell their deodorant and I can't believe that scent travels further than damp breath. That said I think a certain panic has set in and it will be very difficult to coax a large proportion out of their homes.

Nicola Sturgeon has announced that she's keeping the old slogan.

 :D

This new slogan is going down well  :-X

Quote
Northern Ireland’s First Minister Arlene Foster has said the region will not adopt the new government slogan, instead sticking with the “stay home, save lives” message.

I think panic is the right word in certain circumstances, one only has to look at Twitter and Facebook to see the vitriol spit out at anyone admitting to a minor infringement of the rules.

I’m sticking with Boris, I don’t think it is reasonable to expect sixty million people to incarcerate themselves just to protect me, life is full of risks, go out in the car you might get killed in an accident, you might fall downstairs, you might get mugged etc, no laws or rules will remove the risk.
I am responsible for my own safety.

Did anyone see the photographs in the newspapers this morning of the crowds at Brighton Beach yesterday? What part of Stay Home, Save Lives and Social Distancing don't these people understand? Complete Idiots but unfortunately dangerous too.

Changing the Slogan will only confuse matters further in my opinion.

Good for Nicola Sturgeon and Arlene Foster for sticking with the old slogan.

Waiting for the Westminster Government announcement this evening with baited breath. Thank God I live in Scotland.
