Mary Finch death

I have been looking for the death of Mary Finch for some time.  I have searched quite a lot of websites to no avail

Any help with this would be much appreciated

This doesn't answer your question, but are you sure you have the right baptism for Mary? Marriage at the age of 38 and a child born 4 years later might be unusual at this date, unless she’d been married before.

The Thursley parish registers survive only from 1613 onwards. Perhaps Mary Woodhatch who married William Finch at Thursley was baptised there in the 1590s, with no surviving record? There are a handful of other Woodhatch events in that parish.

Oxted is some 40 miles from Thursley. Perhaps two different families? Just a suggestion.

Many thanks for that.

No I am not 100% sure about the dates but I assumed really that she had been married before.  I shall do a bit more research see if I can find something more definitive around her marriage.

Do you think given the times that 40 miles is too far a stretch?

Was Mary Woodhatch a Widow when she married William Finch 19 November 1618.  :-\

There was a will of a William Woodhatch of Thursley
William Woodhatch - 26 Dec 1617 -- to my wife Mary Woodhatch the house and garden in Thursley .....

Great you could be on to something here.  I will have a look and see if I can find the will.  I have been downloading wills from British archives for free which is fantastic.  Where did you see this one?

? the wife of William Finch was buried (I think!)

Ancestry have it as Fuich,  spouse William Fuich
