Hi roslyn246, and welcome to RootsChat.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand your question. Please tell us everything you know about your mystery Margaret including dates and places, and then we will see if we can help.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Margarets birth place is Kilbirnie as stated on children birth cert. What doesn't help in trying to find information on her in Australia as she signed her marriage cert. in 1885 as Margaret Bell Barclay.
Then on the children birth she puts Margaret Bell or Margaret Barclay and also Margaret (sic) Bell Barclay. Having trouble finding out what her maiden name is at birth.

Without a bit more information it is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Kilbirnie is a step in the right direction, but not enough.

How old was she when she married? Whom did she marry? Where did she marry? What were the names of her children, in order of birth? Does her marriage certificate mention the names of either of her parents?

Quite a few births for Margaret Barclay in Kilbirnie.

Any idea when she arrived in Australia?

What is the source of her birth place being Kilbirnie? Is it from her marriage entry or some other document? Added: Must read slower! Sorry. See you mention that Kilbirnie shows as her birth place on one of her children's birth regs.

Normally where you have the use of two surnames like this, it could imply that Margaret was illegitimate and used either her mother's maiden name or reputed father's surname.

I see some researchers are quoting this birth for her www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XY51-12Q
