New government guidelines?
« on: Monday 11 May 20 11:12 BST (UK) »
The updated guidance from the government no longer seems to mention over 70s and self isolation

https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

I may be wrong, can anyone else find a mention.

The especially vulnerable, ( had a letter) are still advised to take special precautions but it is emphasised that this is a personal choice.

Am I seeing it wrongly.

I see from the media that the tubes were packed this morning - what part of 'do not use public transport'  do people not understand.

I am just carrying on as last week though I may take the dog out twice in a day.  I will see what is revealed today

From Wednesday you can take the dog out as many times as you like, even take him/her out to sunbath or for a picnic if you want (as long as you live in England).

PS from Boris's speech yesterday
See- http://www.rootschat.com/links/01pft/

"And from this Wednesday, we want to encourage people to take more and even unlimited amounts of outdoor exercise.

You can sit in the sun in your local park, you can drive to other destinations, you can even play sports but only with members of your own household.

You must obey the rules on social distancing and to enforce those rules we will increase the fines for the small minority who break them."

All very well to ask if people do not understand the new guidance - I don't understand it myself, it is very vague.

But the advice about work and public transport is as follows -

"And we want it to be safe for you to get to work. So you should avoid public transport if at all possible – because we must and will maintain social distancing, and capacity will therefore be limited.
So work from home if you can, but you should go to work if you can’t work from home"

Most London workers use public transport to get to work, PM says go back to work, so they go back to work. On public transport because it is too far to walk or cycle and they have nowhere to park the car if they drive in.

Very poorly thought out, very poorly planned, and as vague as it could be.

I can't see anything either, but I am still going to stay at home apart from exercise and essential purposes.

That link provides some other person’s interpretation and quotes out of date info.
The bbc  is no longer the authoritative  source it used to be. :-[

Your own personal judgement is every bit as valid and likely more usefull
